Annie Leibovitz
Modern IDENTITY Principal Jeff Streeper has been partnering with iconic photographer Annie Leibovitz for more than 20 years, his design, art direction, and curatorial work spanning the breadth of the Leibovitz catalog. Their professional relationship began while Jeff was working with Creative Director Parry Merkley on the historic American Express “Portraits” campaign, which featured some of the most prominent people in the world. The campaign won numerous awards in 1987, including the Clio, the Kelly, and the Gold Pencil, and was named the year’s Best Advertising Campaign by Advertising Age. Since then, Jeff has collaborated with Annie on most of her books, beginning with her first best-selling book Annie Leibovitz, Photographs 1970-1990, and continuing on to her recent retrospective, Annie Leibovitz, A Photographer’s Life, 1990-2005 and the highly regarded Annie Leibovitz, At Work. Jeff also helped create the traveling exhibits associated with those books and continues to work regularly with Annie on her editorial and advertising projects.
